Diagnostic & Operative Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves inserting a thin, lighted telescope (hysteroscope) into the uterus through the cervix to visualize the inside of the uterine cavity. It is used for both diagnosing and treating various uterine conditions.
What it Includes:
- Diagnostic Hysteroscopy: To investigate causes of abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, or to locate lost IUDs.
- Operative Hysteroscopy: To remove uterine polyps, fibroids (submucosal), endometrial adhesions (Asherman's Syndrome), or to correct uterine septa.
- Performed often as an outpatient procedure.
Benefits
Minimally invasive, quick recovery, precise diagnosis, targeted treatment of uterine abnormalities, and often avoids the need for open surgery.
Ideal For
Women experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, or those with suspected uterine polyps, fibroids, or adhesions.
